AMERICAN ARCHANGEL CLUB
MASTER BREEDER PROGRAM
American Archangel Club will be denoted as AAC
The
AAC Master Breeder Program is established to acknowledge the AAC member who
consistently breeds superior birds as demonstrated by the performance of their
birds in show competition. Therefore, Master Breeder Points shall only be
awarded to members in good standing with the AAC and is subject to the following
regulations. Master Breeder Points
will only be awarded for birds that are bred, raised and entered by an AAC
member. The exhibitor does not have to attend the show to receive points. If a
non-member wins points at a show they must
join the club the day of the show to be awarded said points.
Master
Breeder Points will be awarded only for official AAC meets. Any AAC member in
good standing may declare an official AAC meet by notifying the AAC club
secretary and the secretary sponsoring the show. This notification must include
the date, time, location and sponsor, name of show, where said meet is to be
held and submitted at least 45 days before date of meet. Only one State level
AAC meet per year, in each State, may be designated as a Master Breeder Points
State meet. State meets require a minimum of 10 birds and 3 exhibitors to win
points.
National
AAC meets will be held in conjunction with NYBS at Louisville, KY, ISPA Des
Moines annual show, the Reading annual show and the NPA Grand National. All
other shows will be considered state level meets. Any nationally recognized
pigeon show (Pageant, Western NYBS, etc.) might be declared a national meet by
submitting a request signed by 3 AAC members in good standing to the AAC club
secretary. National meets require a minimum of 25 birds and 5 exhibitors to win
national points. Any declared
national AAC meet that has less than 25 birds and/or 5 exhibitors will be
awarded points allotted for state level meets.
No
birds can be awarded any points if rated less than "S", superior, by
the AAC judge regardless of number of entries in class. No single bird can win
more than 400 points in its lifetime.
Points
will be awarded by; rating, number of exhibitors and number of birds as stated
below. In order to receive said points, a bird must be rated "S" or
higher. Only those best of class categories listed below will be used for
awarding points regardless of classes used for judging (young hens, old cocks,
white flights, etc.) and regardless of awards offered at meets.
All
"E" birds will receive 30 points for a National meet, or 10 points for
a State meet.
All
"HS" birds receive 20 points for a National, or 7 for State.
Champion
Archangel receives 65 points for National, or 25 for State.
Reserve
Champion 40 points for National, or 15 points for State
For
the following, points will be awarded only if that class meets the requirement
of paragraph A for National meets, (10 birds and 3 exhibitors) or paragraph B
for State meets, (5 birds and 2 exhibitors).
Best
Dark Bronze Blackwing, 25 for National, or 8 for State.
Best
Light Bronze Blackwing, 25 for National, or 8 for State.
Best
Bluewing, 25 for National, or 8 for State.
Best
Whitewing, 25 for National, or 8 for State
Best
AOC, 30 for National, or 10 for State
Best
Other, 30 for National, or 10 for State
A. For National meets best
of class will only win points if 10 or more birds are entered in that class by 3
or more exhibitors. If there are more than 10 birds in a class listed above an
additional 10 points will be awarded to best of class for each increment of 5
additional birds entered in the class.
B. For State meets best of
class will only win points if 5 or more birds are entered in that class by 2 or
more exhibitors. If there are more than 5 birds in a class listed above an
additional 5 points will be awarded to best of class for each increment of 5
additional birds entered in the class.
Total
points required to attain Master Breeder is 2000 points
A
Master Breeder plaque will be awarded by the AAC when the required number of
points is attained.
Point
standings will be printed in the spring bulletin.
Points
will be awarded for any official AAC meets beginning March 10, 1993, which the
date of the official formation of the AAC as a National club. Any person found guilty of fraud or cheating on points will
be expelled from the AAC Master Breeders Program. Questions regarding the
accuracy of points awarded will be directed to the AAC secretary. Unresolved
questions will be directed to the President who will ask the AAC Board of
Directors to vote for a final decision.
